Dr Iqbal Jehan Qader

Doctor Iqbal Jehan Qader is currently working as a consultant Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Princess Durreshewar Hospital Hyderabad. She began her illustrious career from the humble Nampally Government Girls High School. She completed her matriculation in the year 1954. After completing her intermediate from Kothi Women’s college in 1956 she moved to Nagpur to do her MBBS from Nagpur Medical College. She completed her MBBS in April 1961 and then moved back to Hyderabad to do her MD in Obsterics and Gynaecology from Osmania Medical College. In 1963 she joined the government service and served the people of Andhra Pradesh in until her retirement in 1996 in the capacity of Assistant Surgeon, Assistant Professor and Resident Medical Officer (RMO) at Nilofer Hospital, Superintendent Tirupathi Medical College, Professor Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Kurnool Medical College and Osmania Medical College. Post retirement she worked as Professor and Head of the Department Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Deccan Medical college for ten years. She continues to teach and share her knowledge, skill and experience with the post graduate students and imminent obstetricians and gynaecologists at Durreshewar Hospital. She is a passionate surgeon and she continues to selflessly serve humanity-Mashallah.
